Oregon is lovely.
I am dying to do Cycle Oregon.
This is a fully supported 7-day ride, they carry all your stuff, pitch a tent for you and provide food and live music.
Why am I even living here!

+Ben6899 that would be Salem, Massachesetts, where the infamous witch trials took place. Naturally, I don't go there...
This is Salem, Oregon, where witches may live free and there are micro brew beers aplenty.
SBC runs two big (food-related) rides (you can see the attraction to me): The Monster Cookie Century and the Peach of Century. They get about 2,000 riders for each of these!

Salem Bicycle Club is the third
More than 400 members and 11 weekly rides in a town with a 150,000 population.
Love it!

+Brammaldhino you would be welcome at our C group on a Sunday morning SS a good start point in the meantime. Members will be happy to show you the ropes. Also the 8am group in Regents Park on Saturdays would work.

In short, no.
As they say, there is no bad weather, only the wrong clothes.
But how 'not right' can the weather be in April?
If it is wet, wear a rain jacket and add mudguards.
If it is really, really wet, we'll run a shorter loop with no stops.Snow and ice is a different matter.
As are exceptionally high winds. -
