We run two groups on Sunday, one goes a little further and a little faster 35-45 miles (12-14mph) & 40-75 miles (15-17mph)
These are friendly rides and we regroup at all hills and turn points. We meet at Whittington Park, Holloway Road entrance, N19 4RS, for an 8.30am depart.

Saturdays tend to be training rides, faster and less social.

Saturday starts at both times, One group meet at 7am and do quite a few fast laps then more people join in at 8am to do some slightly slower ones. Both meet outside the zoo.
This is more of a training ride.

Sundays are more of a social ride, which tend to cover more distance at a slower speed.

First off... Welcome.

Every sunday varies depending on who is leading the ride. We try to set out the route before however this isn't always the case and the person leading will tell us on the day.
Our short ride normally is 35-40miles and our longer one tends to be between 45-65miles

Depending on the route we will do a cafe stop in the middle of the ride or at the end. Sometimes we ride out to a cafe, such as our Ardley Route or Special one offs. Most of the time we will stop on our way back in Finchley (about 3.5mile from Whittington Park)

We don't really do any off roading but we have a couple of people who are interested in cross. We do have a ride coming up which will follow the Rapha Hell of the North route.

I haven't been riding in groups long and I would have a guess that most of the members haven't either. It took me a few rides to get used to riding as a group.

Maybe we need to find out a little more about new riders at the start of each ride. Get a more experienced group rider to chat to them on the ride, find out how much group riding they've done, hand signals etc...

I would definitely suggest that members attend the riding workshop.
