We message those who sign up closer to the time of the ride (10th Dec) im afraid. Maybe sign up and if you can't make it due to our start location, then vaccate your place. However, ifthe location our other regular rides suit you (check the website) then you will have no problem joining this one, as the start is in the same area generally speaking.

Hi
The intro ride is about 40km (25 miles) and we go at it at a very gentle and social pace (may be atound 11-12 mph). It is surprisingly easier to ride in a group rather than on your own, so Id say go for it. We can guarantee that you will not be left to fend for yourself in the wilderness, and will keep you entertained at all times -

Speed wise, I would be looking to sustain around 30kph solo for an hour in regents park, how does that compare to A pace?
A pace on a normal Sunday ride would be approximately 27-28km/h, but it's faster around regent's park. I can only comment for the more social, Saturday morning RP laps, where the usual 8am speed of the group is 30km/h, so if you can hold that on your own, I don't think you'll have many problems holding up to the group, and you will not be holding back anybody.
Regular Tuesday morning guys, correct me if I'm wrong :)

Thanks @Jessica!
May I also add that experienced ICCers who are volunteering, to lead/sweep and those who want to come help (but are not part of the organizing discussion), don't need to say "I'm attending" above. This is only for our guests on the day.
Thanks,

Hey Billy,
You'd be most welcome to join one of our other regular rides as our guest. I would strongly recommend the Saturday morning 8am Regents Park laps, or our Sunday rides from Whittington Park.
You would still be expected to join our Intro or Skills rides however, as every club does things a little different, and in the interest of safety, we need to make sure we are all on the same page on the signals, calls etc and general way that ICC rides.
Thanks,

Hi,
we have rides running out of Whittington Park every Sunday. Not sure what the plan is for that particular day you are thinking, but there will be a ride for sure. We'll know more about the route closer to that time.
C Group rides are approximately 35-40 miles, at a speed of approximately 12-13 miles per hour. They often involve some hills, which everyone climbs at their own pace, and we regroup at the top. Cruising speed on the flat would probably be at around 15-16 miles per hour.
If you feel confident your legs are up to this, then please do feel free to join us on one of our Sunday C rides. Alternatively, join us on a Saturday morning Regents Park session, which is just an hour long, but a bit faster (its all flat!), followed by coffee at one of the cafe's nearby.
Intro rides are slower and shorter than the Sunday C group rides (~25 miles at maybe 11-12 miles per hour usually). We'll have one in October as well if you can't get a place for September, although it's worth mentioning that we do have last minute cancellations and you may be quick enough to grab a place for Sep 12.

Awesome! Yes, September has been hugely popular thus far. We usually run these with 16 riders, but we increased this to 24 and its sold out again!
We don't have a reserves list, but do follow this thread (click the button above) in case someone drops out. Feel free to bring your sister along to one of our Sunday C rides, or Regents Park laps though in the meantime. -
