I believe that this will be done by @Orestis in due course.
In the meantime, the next club ride is on Sunday at 8.30am from Whittington Park. Just show up 10 mins early and announce yourself as a new member. Our lovely members will ensure you're all clued up on picking the right distance/paced ride for you :)
Welcome!

Hi Sam,
Absolutely! I would recommend going for the slower of the 2 options just in case. I would suggest it would give you a better first impression of club riding to find it a bit too easy rather than suffering most of the way. And you can always join the B ride the next week!
The club also runs specific monthly rides for new members, to teach them the ins and puts it group riding. Over to my glamourous assistant @alexD who is involved in running these for more info

Hello Clive.
The key thing in my opinion is to ensure that the bike fits. A 'good' bike can easily become a torture device of it is the wrong size or not adjusted properly.
Related to this, I would recommend investing some coin in excellent bibshorts and a saddle that's right for you. These things will make the biggest difference to your ride experience.
A good bike shop will be able to address the above issues for you. I wouldn't recommend buying your first roadbike online. Too much uncertainty.
Subject to this. The 'frame over components' theme above is a good one.

Hello,
I'm also interested in coming on Wednesday eve. Not sure whether I am of suitable ability. Not an experienced club rider but have gone for a handful of big rides in the last few months(London-Brighton, London-Cambridge are 2 of them) averaging around 23kph. Would wednesday night be suitable for me?
Thanks
Ed
