I actually saw a cyclist this morning with BBC news on his phone which was mounted to his handlebars! I am guessing this is not how you're watching? ;)

8 am has various groups usually and isn't normally a chain gang, just normal changes.

Also do not discount sram groupsets, the gear changing mechanism if different to shimano and I prefer it. The brake lever doesn't move, instead it is all done with the paddles.
I have apex on my commuter/winter and rival on my carbon. Not really much difference, rival is a little smoother.

Well the intro ride starts at 8:30am at Whittington park - the regents park ride is at 8am at the zoo gates at regents park.
