I've really enjoyed reading this. I looked back to see if I had any pics from the early days, but the oldest I have are all from the club's second year;

I always thought moon lights were good value and those ones have the daylight mode you would want for daytime visibility. I have a slightly older version without the daylight mode and it has been really good.
I recently bought some Exposure lights that have a 'daybright' function.

Hi Andy, i usually process membership applications and renewals twice a week. Unfortunately it looks like your application hadn't arrived in my inbox on Sunday morning when i last did some club admin. I'll be doing the next batch tomorrow night. You'll get your full welcome information then but in the meantime please feel free to join club rides. Sorry for the delay.

Hi, if you send me an e-mail ([email protected]) I'll reply with some information about joining. We would love you to get involved!
On the subject of safety in RP, I notice now that I cycle with a kid, that there isn't a single safe way to get to or from Regent's park by bike. It's true for walking to a lesser extent. The result is that people drive to the park.
I can't help but think that the best way to make using Regent's park safer for everyone would be to work on this. Safe routes to/from the park could cut the number of vehicles in the park, making a trip to RP safer all round.
When I'm in the park with the kid either on foot or bike, it's cars and motor vehicles that cause me the most concern for her safety.
