I did my first road cycling 66 years ago when my dad took me to Herne Bay from Clapham when aged 9. In the last decade or so I have been leading or taking part in whole-day leisure rides run by the Cyclists Touring Club. Recently for the first time I have been going out on mid-week training rides (Regents Park,Swains) although I am not training for anything except to keep myself in good shape.
