Have you got what it takes to cycle to Rio?
Over 83,000 young people will experience homelessness this year. Many will be forced to sleep rough or take shelter on night buses or in unsafe accommodation. Centrepoint is the UKs leading youth homelessness charity. We invite you to take on a new kind of cycling challenge this summer to help us give homeless young people a future – Ride2Rio.
Ride2Rio challenges you and a team of 6 to cycle the 6,000 miles to Rio in five weeks. Not literally of course – there’s too much water in the way! Ride2Rio is a virtual challenge, so you and your team can complete the distance by cycling into the office, on weekends, or even on a static bike at the gym. You have five weeks to complete the challenge as a virtual team, starting on 17 July and finishing by 21 August. Registration is open now and is completely free!
We know that 6,000 miles might seem like a tall order, so, to reward you for your fundraising efforts, for every £1 you raise, you’ll get a mile closer to your target.
Get on your bike and make every mile count for homeless young people this summer. Every £25 you fundraise could pay for a counselling session to help a young person like Sophie overcome a traumatic past and face the future.
Find out more and register here.
Thanks,
Caitlin
