Hi Everyone, I spoke to David about joining the club and he said it will be ok to come along as a guest, im coming on the Sunday morning ride and was wondering if helmets are compulsory or not

I believe that for the Sunday rides the helmet decision is up to you, there are a few people that don't wear helmets but they do tend to be more experienced riders. I guess it depends on what makes you feel comfortable.

That's good to hear @Michael_James, are you also used to riding in a group? It's just an extra thing to be aware of!

@alexD i haven't rode in a group but i've watched the gcn video on it and ill start at the back and watch how everybody does it

OK cool (GCN vids are great). Just make sure you introduce yourself to the ride leader and ask them to explain the calls etc. before you set off on Sunday (they might need a prompt if they forget!)
