We limit the number of riders on these rides for safety and so they are manageable for the ride leaders. If a spot opens up and your friend can sign up and claim the spot then great. If not, we would have to say no for the reasons above and also to be fair to the other folks on the 'waiting list' hoping that a spot will open up.
Your friend would, of course, be welcome to join an ordinary Sunday ride as a guest rider, just not the Introductory Ride. If you decide to join him on an ordinary ride, please remember to un-tick yourself from this ride so your place can be used.
