RideLondon FreeCycle

  • Start point: Highbury Fields War Memorial, Highbury Place, Highbury Corner, Islington N5 1RR
  • The RideLondon FreeCycle will take place from 09:00 on Saturday 30 July 2016. It will offer a brilliant opportunity to get the whole family together to experience the fun and freedom of cycling on traffic-free roads in central London.

The 2016 event, which is part of a festival of cycling led by the Mayor of London’s office, will showcase new areas of the capital. The route will again take in the Strand and Lincoln’s Inn Fields and returns to the Victoria Embankment, taking in a section of the newly opened East-West Cycle Superhighway (CS3).

The eight-mile circuit passes iconic London landmarks including Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Bank of England and again goes south of the river with a loop over Waterloo Bridge, offering stunning views of London.

  • Hello - is anyone meeting as a group to do this? It looks as if you are suggesting a meeting place locally to then head to the circuit?

    Many thanks

    Cath

  • Hi Cath

We have a ride leader, back marker and marshals. The Islington borough ride is meeting at Highbury fields at 10.30am and will ride into Central London to join the circuit. For additional information you can visit the London Cycling Campaign website at:
